Konstl joins Technis: more firepower for building energy performance in Switzerland

Technis is acquiring Konstl, a specialist in connected building supervision based in French-speaking Switzerland. As of today, Konstl becomes “Konstl, a Technis company”. The goal: to take building energy performance further, with a stronger presence on the ground in western Switzerland.

Konstl at a glance

Konstl was born in 2017 from a Geneva-based initiative led by naxoo. Konstl SA was founded in 2020 together with five long-established Swiss companies. It specialises in IoT networks for buildings and data collection. It installs sensors, collects data through its own LoRa network and makes it available on its platform, with all data hosted in Switzerland. Its clients include property management companies, utilities and municipalities across western Switzerland. Its services cover remote meter reading, technical installation monitoring, indoor comfort tracking and IDC (heat consumption index) monitoring.

Why now

For Swiss property owners, energy performance has become both a regulatory requirement and a financial priority. They need to measure, prove and improve, building by building. Konstl brings precise, on-the-ground measurement. Technis brings its expertise in energy optimisation. Together, we combine both.

Two complementary areas of expertise

Technis and Konstl bring together two complementary skill sets. Konstl specialises in IoT networks for buildings and data collection. Technis brings its long-standing expertise in optimising heating plants, with the Technis E-NNO Box.

The Technis E-NNO Box already makes gas and oil boilers smarter. It adapts heating control by taking into account solar gains and the building’s thermal inertia.

Konstl, for its part, provides a much more detailed view of real conditions inside buildings, thanks to the many temperature and humidity sensors deployed across its portfolio.

Combined, these two approaches open up new optimisation opportunities: unlocking greater energy savings while keeping precise visibility on indoor temperatures and guaranteeing comfort for tenants and building operators.

This move builds on an already successful collaboration, notably on the Realstone portfolio.

In short: we move from optimisation based on a building’s estimated thermal behaviour to optimisation enhanced by real indoor comfort measurement, at scale, using the Konstl sensors already in place.

What changes

For Konstl clients, nothing changes day to day: same contacts, same installations, same contracts.

For Technis clients, this move paves the way for finer optimisation, backed by real indoor comfort measurement. Our Real Estate Energy Performance solution also extends to remote meter reading and IDC monitoring, with a stronger field team in western Switzerland.

What’s next

The Konstl brand will gradually become part of Technis over the coming months. Every step will be announced in advance to the clients concerned.

“Swiss property owners need to measure and improve the performance of each of their buildings. Konstl has been doing exactly that on the ground for years. Together, we are moving faster and going further to help them reduce their energy consumption, building by building.”
